Bio

I graduated in Biochemistry (13/20) prior to the Bologna regime by the University of Algarve (2006).

I’ve been working at CEOT since 2015, as a researcher, in the determination of the optimum harvest date for the most important varieties of Citrus fruits of the Algarve, using non-invasive methods, namely Vis / NIR reflectance, associated with GIS mapping.

I have also been involved in the determination and analysis of the several physiological / biochemical/molecular parameters of leaves of young cork oak trees affected by Cork Oak Decline Disease, aiming to establish a non-invasive method to diagnose it.

In 2016 I´ve started my MSc in Horticulture in the University of Algarve and I have submitted my Dissertation entitled ‘’Non destructive determination of the internal quality of ‘Ortanique' (Citrus reticulata Blanco x Citrus sinensis (L) Osbeck) “
