Gabriela Schütz received her five-years graduation in Mathematics and her MSc in Statistics and Operations Research from the Faculty of Science of the University of Lisbon, Portugal, in 1986 and 1989, respectively. Her PhD in Mathematics, field of Operations Research, was obtained at the University of Algarve, Portugal, in 2000.
She is a Coordinator Professor of Mathematics at the Electrical Engineering Department of the Institute of Engineering of the University of Algarve. Her research interests include exact methods, heuristics and metaheuristics for combinatorial optimization and network design problems.
She is a member of the Center of Electronics Optoelectronics and Telecommunications (CEOT) at the University of Algarve, a research center supported by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology.
