Jaime A. Martins, b. 1980, graduated in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering in 2001 (major) and Clinical Psychology in 2007 (major), at the University of Algarve. He obtained his Computational Neuroscience PhD in 2014 (on 3D Face and Object Recognition), at the same university, and is currently a networks systems researcher in the Center of Electronics, Optoelectronics and Telecommunications (CEOT), a research center supported by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. His major interests span several emerging IT areas, from the Internet of Things to linking Cognitive Neuroscience and Computer/Human Vision. His current research focuses on architecture, design and optimization for constrained IoT systems, as key enablers for cognitive IoT networks.
